ArthropodTEC

Welcome to ArthropodTEC's website. ArthropodTEC is a tech research company. We research security. This could be exploits, web security and other security issues. We write reports on exploits bugs and other problems and will alert companies of these problems.

Our goal is to teach people who to keep safe and secure on the internet. The internet is a great please. It makes life easier and is a great tool. But the internet is a dangerous if you don’t now what you are doing.

Security is important. Security is everywhere from you house to your computer. On your house you will have locks on your door. This stops people from stealing things from your house. It is the same when we talk about computer and internet security. If you have an account, you will have a password on it. This stops people from going into your account and stealing things, just like your house. But in real life you can pick locks. Some locks are more secure than others. This is the same when it comes to account locks and other locks. They can be brute forced. Brute force attacks are when a computer tries different codes to try and crack your password. For example, your password is 123. The computer would try all the combinations until it hit your password of 123.
Another way they could break through your passwords is using a data breach attack.(Credential stuffing). A data breach is where database is hacked, and all the credentials are stolen. The stolen login details are then normally then sold on the dark web. They are then bought by an attacker. If you any of the stolen credentials are used on other websites e.g two passwords are used on 2 different websites they could be used to unlock your account. These attacks tend to be more targeted as they need to research what websites you are active on. SUMMARY: DO NOT USE THE SAME PASSWORDS OVER MANY SITES.
